Be the best you can

BEXHILL High welcomed top national athlete Danny Crates into school.

Danny was the Paralympic 800m gold medallist at the 2004 Olympic Games held in Athens, and was also the flag bearer for Team GB at Beijing 2008.

He spoke to Year 7 students about ‘being the best you can’ , a programme the school’s young people will be following each Friday this term.

Danny talked about overcoming barriers to success.

He lost his right arm following a car accident 16 years ago, having been a talented rugby player.
