Bexhill woman to be sentenced for shoplifting offences
A Bexhill woman is to be sentenced for shoplifting offences
Lucy Ridger, 35, of North Road, faces 11 counts of shoplifting relating to incidents that occurred between 6 October and 14 November last year, said Rother Police.
She appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 25 February, where she pleaded guilty to all charges, police added. She was granted bail with conditions prohibiting her from entering Morrisons Daily on Ninfield Road and the One Stop shop on Turkey Road. A Rother Police spokesperson said: “Despite these conditions, on 4 March officers were called by staff at Tesco Express in Little Common after Ridger left the store without paying for goods. She was subsequently arrested and charged with a further shoplifting offence. “Ridger appeared at court on 5 March, where she pleaded guilty to the additional charge. She has been bailed ahead of a sentencing hearing scheduled for May. “Further updates will be issued following sentencing.”
