Body found at cliffs near Eastbourne

Officers said they were called to the area on Monday morning (July 18) due to a concern for a person’s welfare.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “The body of a man was sadly found and recovered.

"There are no suspicious circumstances and the coroner’s office has been informed.”

Eastbourne RNLI said it was tasked to assist police, coastguards and a coastguard rescue helicopter at around 7.15am on Monday.
