Operated by Wave Active on the site of the former Sky High Trampoline Park, Meridian Mayhem offers a wide range of activities designed for children, teens and adults.
The opening event will run throughout the day, with residents encouraged to drop in, take part and help launch Meridian Mayhem in Peacehaven.
Duncan Kerr, Chief Executive of Wave Active, said: “The venue has been designed with energy and fun at its heart, and our team is excited to help deliver a programme that offers something for everyone.
“Saturday is a great opportunity for people to explore the space, meet the team and get a taste of the activities and events that will be coming over the months ahead.”
A new dynamic play frame is suitable for children aged up to 12 and provides a safe, energetic space for climbing, exploring and burning off energy – it’s ideal for families with younger children who want an active, fun environment. For older children, teenagers and adults, Meridian Mayhem Multiball brings digital gaming to life through movement and play.
Using an interactive wall, players can throw, hit and move their way through a series of fast paced challenges and games. Whether testing their aim, chasing a high score or competing with friends, Multiball is designed to get people moving, thinking and having fun. Sessions are available for teens and adults, with options for junior Multiball, Multiball Challenge, Multiball Mayhem and private group bookings.
Councillor Johnny Denis, Cabinet Member for Tourism & Leisure at Lewes District Council, said:
“Our community infrastructure levy contribution of £127,000 has helped our partners at Wave Active to create a fantastic new attraction and something very special for families.
“I am looking forward to seeing the place buzzing with lots of noise and fast paced fun and laughter.”
Alongside the core attractions, the venue will host a programme of events and activities throughout the year, giving residents plenty of reasons to return and enjoy the space.
Meridian Mayhem also offers a variety of children's party packages, providing families with a fun and stress-free venue for birthdays and special celebrations for youngsters up to 12-years-old.
