As part of this, a repair café was in Burgess Hill. People were invited to bring along their broken items and watch as they were repaired by volunteers for a donation. Councillor Anne Eves, one of the organisers of the Burgess Hill event, said: "The idea is to repair stuff and not throw it into landfill. It also gets people to meet others, and combats loneliness." The repair café will run again on Saturday, March 14, Saturday, May 9 and Saturday, June 13, with the location still to be determined.
