Staff and guests at Butlin’s resorts all over the country – including Bognor Regis – have helped raise more money than ever for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Fundraising has come from intrepid staff members taking part in marathons, sky-dives and cross-country treks but also resort guests who bought the resort’s Binkie Bears – £2 from the sale of which goes to the children’s hospital itself.

All in all, the three resorts raised £191,952.75 over the last twelve months; a record-breaking figure which marks just the first step in a five-year pledge to raise £1 million for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Jon Hendry Pickup, Butlin’s CEO said: “Thanks to the hard work of our team and guests it’s absolutely amazing to announce that we’ve achieved a record year of fundraising for GOSH Charity. Our team set themselves incredible challenges to raise money and as a business we know that every penny raised goes to this fantastic cause.”
