Art lovers in Eastbourne missing galleries and exhibitions during lockdown can take advantage of the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital’s annual art show online.

Organisers have extended the opportunity to browse online for Christmas gifts, giving people the chance to support their local hospital.

The Friends of Eastbourne Hospital have adapted their annual art show - usually held at St Andrew’s School - into a virtual exhibition, because of the Covid-19 pandemic and second national lockdown.

The exhibition has now been extended until November 30.

Some 20 per cent of the proceeds will go towards supporting staff at the DGH through the pandemic.

The Friends are also in the middle of a major ongoing project to raise money to enhance the hospital’s radiology services through digital imaging.

All exhibits and art work can be viewed online at www.friendsdgh.org.uk.

In a bid to raise as much money as possible for the cause, there will also be a silent auction of a painting.
