A spot in Chichester has been named among the 25 top places in the world to watch the sunset – alongside Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, Bora Bora in French Polynesia and Florida’s Key West.

It featured on a list by Far & Wide, a US-based travel website, alongside more exotic locations.

According to the website, the cliffs of Sussex’s coastline make for ‘a spectacular view out to sea, particularly at sunset when the sun’s rays swirl into pinks and oranges’.

The white of the cliffs sets the canvas for ‘a beautiful showing of colour’, it adds.

It recommends the cliffs between Seaford and Beachy Head as the ‘best nature spot’ for coastal views at sunset.

But it recommends Billy’s on the Beach in Bracklesham Bay as the ‘best restaurant’ from which to take in the views.

“Casual, no frills and undeniably charming, Billy’s on the Beach is the best place to tuck into crispy fish and chips while gazing out to sea,” it says.
