Convoy of classic tractors to stage Easter parade in West Sussex villages

A convoy of classic tractors will be touring West Sussex villages in a special Easter parade.

And the event – being organised by The Wheatsheaf pub in Henfield – is all in a good cause: it’s raising funds for the Rocking Horse children’s charity.

The parade will be held on Easter Saturday April 4 and will feature tractors dating pre 2000. The tractors will start their journey at 11am at Snakes Harbour Farm in Cowfold before heading off on a route through local villages. And the Easter Bunny is planning to make an appearance as part of the convoy.

The run will see the tractors heading off from Snakes Harbour Farm to Kent Street, then on to Wineham Lane, Bob Lane, Bolney Chapel Road, Twineham Lane, Henfield Road, Blackstone Lane, Brighton Road, Henfield High Street, London Road, Mock Bridge, Brighton Road, Cowfold High Street, Station Road, Littleworth Lane, Mill Lane, Jolsefield Road, Church Road, Partridge Green High Street, Shermanbury, back over Mock Bridge, Wheatsheaf Road, finishing at The Wheatsheaf pub in Henfield. For spectators, Henfield High Street, Partridge Green and Cowfold High Street are said to be great viewing spots.

The Easter parade follows a successful Christmas tractor run held by The Wheatsheaf last December.
