Tiger Pelling has multiple disabilities, cerebral palsy, global development delay, epilepsy and dystonia. This means he is non-mobile and non-verbal.

A fundraising page was set up with the aim of providing important home-adaptations to make life a bit easier for him and his family. Currently the page stands at around £16,000.

On Christmas Day Tiger and his family were visited by the big man himself – Father Christmas.

The visit, arranged by The Maper Leaf Carriage Company based in Hellingly, heard about Tiger through social media.

Adie Matthews, from the carriage company, said Covid reduced the number of Christmas events so this year home visits were a good alternative to raise money.

He said, “I wanted to keep the fundraising local, and we ended up giving £300 to Tiger’s funding page.”

Sid and Katie Pelling, Tiger’s parents said, “He really enjoyed meeting Father Christmas and seeing the horses. It was a lovely way to celebrate Christmas Day and we are so grateful that they took the time to come and see our children.”
