. Bull Lurcher puppies - five weeks old
This adorable litter of puppies were born five days after their mum, Peggy, was handed in to Arundawn. These typical puppies are excitable and playful and will need plenty of training and socialisation as they grow. They will also require lots of exercise. Their breed - Bull Lurcher crossbreed - means they will be highly intelligent, as well as loyal and well-behaved in the right home. Currently five weeks old, the puppies will not be ready for rehoming until they are 12 weeks old,. However, the charity said it will begin the process of finding them their homes shortly, adding that the team will be 'fussy' to ensure they find the right families. Photo: Arundawn
. Peggy - two year old Lurcher
Peggy is the mother of the litter of ten puppies, and was sadly handed in to the charity by her owner just five days before giving birth. Arundawn said she has been a 'great mum' but is now ready to find a home of her own. At just two years old, she has already had two litters of puppies so is looking for a home where she can just relax and be loved. She is very intelligent and gets on well with the dogs at Arundawn. The charity said it believes she will easily fit into most homes and is very friendly to children. Photo: Arundawn
. Maisie - two year old Cockapoo
Maisie requires a home that is experienced with nervous dogs. Sadly, she had been running loose for weeks before being trapped and rescued by Arundawn. The charity said she was in poor condition and her coat was matted and riddled with fleas and worms. Her new owner will need to have plenty of patience to help her overcome her fears and tendencies to run away from you, and she will need at least one other dog in the home to keep her company. . Barney - four year old Crossbreed
'Lovely' Barney (left) loves any fuss and attention he can get. Arundawn does not have any history on him and would like to find a foster home without cats or children under 15 so that he can be assessed outside of kennels. The charity added that Barney appears to be dog-friendly. Photo: Arundawn
. Blaze - one year old Working Cocker Spaniel
Blaze is a loveable funny dog, who makes everyone smile. He gets on well with other canines and thrived on human company. Due to the nature of his breed, he has a lot of energy and needs to use his brain. He would best succeed in a home with owners who could involve him in activities like agility, scentwork, Canicross or other dog sports that can keep him busy. He needs a rural home with at least one other dog and a family who has the patience to let him gain trust and learn to settle in his new home. He cannot live with children, but will happily live alongside cats. Photo: Arundawn
Arundawn is looking to home six puppies born to Jenny, who arrived at the sanctuary heavily pregnant. Two boys and four girls are currently looking for active homes, preferably with sighthound experience. They will be vaccinated and rehomed with a neutering contract. Photo: Arundawn
6. Ruby - four-year-old Beagle
Ruby is a lovely, affectionate girl who must live with at least one other dog. She needs an active family in a rural location as she needs lots of exercise and mental stimulation.
She has been around children aged over seven and is friendly with every person she meets, Arundawn said. Sadly, she has had a few homes already and has some separation anxiety, which her foster carers are working on. Her new family will need to continue her training. She cannot be homed with cats. 7. Cindy - seven-year-old English Bull Terrier
Cindy is looking for calm home with adopters experienced with her breed. She cannot live with other animals, but is good with children of all ages and loves to play and have cuddles. She needs a home in a rural location due to reactivity on a lead, and would love someone to be around most of the day as she is really a 'people dog'.
A spokesperson for Arundawn said: "Cindy is really a lovely girl and deserves an understanding and loving home to spend the rest of her days." Photo: Arundawn
8. Livvy - two-year-old Lurcher
Livvy has been described as an affectionate and friendly dog who is looking for a calm forever home. She would be best suited to being an only dog in her new home, and can not live with any small furry animals. Arundawn said Livvy would love a home in the countryside and getting frequent walks. She has not been tested with children and cannot live with cats. Photo: Arundawn
