. Polly - eight year old Polish Lowland Sheepdog
Polly arrived at Arundawn after living with over 10 other dogs where she had little interaction with the outside world. She was quite 'shut down' on arrival and her coat was so matted the only option was to clip it all off. She will need a rural home as she is scared of the outside world and walking will need to be taken slowly to get her used to her surroundings. Polly must have the company of another dog or dogs in her new home. She likes her human around her too where possible, so someone who is home for much of the time would be ideal for her. . Rubble - two year old Lurcher
Rubble has been described by Arundawn as an endearing character. He gets on well with other dogs, children, cats and even horses, so could be ideal for many families looking to welcome a furry friend. He must live with at least one other dog as he gets a lot of confidence and reassurance from having a friend. He also needs an owner who is around most of the time as he gets distressed when left alone for too long. Rubble is a well-rounded, very affectionate dog who is more than ready to find his new home. . Kalli - ten month old Malinois
Kalli is looking for a foster carer local to Horsham. She joined Arundawn just a few days after being bought as her owner was unfortunately allergic to dogs. She has lots of energy and a brain which is typical of her breed. This means she needs an active home that can give her lots of exercise and stimulation. Agility would be great for her. She has been well-behaved with children over ten but Arundawn said she may be a bit too rambunctious for younger kids at this time. Photo: Arundawn
. Sprite - 18 month old Italian Greyhound
Sprite was sadly 'dumped' and on arrival at Arundawn was 'terrified of her own shadow'. Due to this, and her Italian Greyhound nature, she will always have a nervous disposition. She needs a quiet home with lots of space and a really good size garden to run around in. She loves other dogs, especially bigger ones, so much live with two or more in her new home. While she's not too sure on humans, she loves a cuddle but will shy away when she's unsure. Sprite also enjoys walks and food, and likes children. She is afraid of loud noises. Photo: Arundawn
. Zoe - two year old Lurcher
Zoe is a lovely, young rough-coated Lurcher. Arundawn has described her as a great dog who needs a little guidance in being calm - however, her manners and responses to training have been promising. She has been with the Arundawn pack for the last few weeks and loves other dogs and people alike. She is not cat tested and and cannot live with children under eight years. Photo: Arundawn
. Basil - two year old crossbreed
Basil is a young male crossbreed who was sadly abandoned. He is a lovely and affectionate boy and is looking for a family that can offer him training. He is dog friendly but cannot live with cats or small animals. He also hasn't been tested around children, but he can be strong on the lead so cannot be homed with small children. Photo: Arundawn
. Poodley Doodley/Madam Doodle - four years old
Madam Doodle is a poodle crossbreed. She has been described as being 'loving and bonkers', despite being skittish and shy. She is very clever and has a 'multitude of personalities'. A family with the time and patience to help her build her trust and confidence is essential. She would love a big garden to run around in, and must have at least one other canine playmate. She cannot live with young children, cats or small animals. Photo: Arundawn
. Tatiana - one year old Poodle cross
Tatiana was found as a stray and needs owners with time and patience for training. She is looking for a foster home, but ideally one that will turn into her forever home. She is described by Arundawn as a 'delightful princess' and 'the sweetest little dog with a few quirks that need ironing out'. With a little understanding, Tatiana has so much to give. She cannot live with cats and hasn't been tested with children - she may be able to live with another dog with slow, careful introductions, as she can sometimes be snappy with unknown dogs in her face. An active home would suit her best as she is high energy and needs plenty of exercise. Photo: Arundawn
. Nelo - two year old Miniature Bull Terrier
Nelo is a sensitive dog who has had problems with resource guarding and a lack of trust. His foster carer said: "Nelo is looking for a home that will be happy to take their time with gaining his trust to allow him more freedom. This may take months but if given that time he will become a fabulous dog to own. He’s a cheeky little chap that just needs time and understanding rather than being rushed." Photo: Arundawn
. Felix - 18 month old Lurcher
Felix is 'an absolute sweetheart' who is looking for his forever home. He will need an active home with at least one other dog. His foster carer said there will be a settling in period 'where he comes to terms with his environment' but the result will be 'well worth it'. He is a big loveable lump who walks well on the lead but you will also need to be able to control him if a squirrel or cat is seen! Ideally he would be suited to an active household (as he loves long walks) where someone is about most of the time. Photo: Arundawn
Arundawn is looking to home six puppies born to Jenny, who arrived at the sanctuary heavily pregnant. Two boys and four girls are currently looking for active homes, preferably with sighthound experience. They will be vaccinated and rehomed with a neutering contract. Photo: Arundawn
6. Ruby - four-year-old Beagle
Ruby is a lovely, affectionate girl who must live with at least one other dog. She needs an active family in a rural location as she needs lots of exercise and mental stimulation.
She has been around children aged over seven and is friendly with every person she meets, Arundawn said. Sadly, she has had a few homes already and has some separation anxiety, which her foster carers are working on. Her new family will need to continue her training. She cannot be homed with cats. 7. Cindy - seven-year-old English Bull Terrier
Cindy is looking for calm home with adopters experienced with her breed. She cannot live with other animals, but is good with children of all ages and loves to play and have cuddles. She needs a home in a rural location due to reactivity on a lead, and would love someone to be around most of the day as she is really a 'people dog'.
A spokesperson for Arundawn said: "Cindy is really a lovely girl and deserves an understanding and loving home to spend the rest of her days." Photo: Arundawn
8. Livvy - two-year-old Lurcher
Livvy has been described as an affectionate and friendly dog who is looking for a calm forever home. She would be best suited to being an only dog in her new home, and can not live with any small furry animals. Arundawn said Livvy would love a home in the countryside and getting frequent walks. She has not been tested with children and cannot live with cats. Photo: Arundawn
