5. Connie - two-year-old crossbreed
Connie is the sweetest girl who loves to be around people she knows well. She is full of fun and loves to explore, so would make a wonderful adventure buddy, according to Dogs Trust. She enjoys splashing in water and playing with soft, squeaky toys. As she’s still a young, energetic girl, she would thrive with active adopters who enjoy going on long walks and engaging her in plenty of fun activities. Connie can find seeing strangers and other dogs out and about a bit overwhelming. Her new family will need to feel confident managing this behaviour and working on her social skills, with support from Dogs Trust's team. She takes a bit of time to make friends with new people but, with space and a gentle approach, she’ll quickly become your best friend! Photo: Dogs Trust

6. Dolly - five-year-old Dachshund
Dolly has been described as a super little dog who just wants to be loved. She adores nothing more than spending time with her favourite people, happily taking life at a gentle pace. While Dolly can be a little shy when meeting new people, once you've earned her trust you'll discover a wonderfully devoted companion whose favourite place is by your side. Dolly finds other dogs a little overwhelming and isn't afraid to voice her opinion. She would benefit from going on quieter walks and living in a peaceful area. Her future family should also be prepared to support her with her current medical needs, including only having one eye. While she is currently doing well, any future issues will need to be approached 'one step at a time', according to Dogs Trust. Photo: Dogs Trust

7. Jax - six-year-old German Shepherd cross Dobermann
Jax has a huge heart and an even bigger love for people! He's a friendly soul and quickly wins everyone over with his affectionate nature. Jax has been described as the perfect house guest. He'd love to be your sofa buddy, spending afternoons cuddled up together and soaking up all the attention and fuss he loves most. However, when it's time for an adventure, Jax is always ready! He enjoys exploring fields, peaceful countryside walks, and trips to the beach during quieter times. He’s a clever boy and likes learning new tricks, making him a fun and rewarding companion to train - his favourite way to learn is with tasty cheese treats as a reward! Jax has a lovely playful side and adores a good game with his toys, with his favourite currently being his toy rat. Photo: Dogs Trust
