17. Teddy - four-year-old Poodle cross Boston Terrier
Teddy is a very bright, energetic chap who loves being out and about, according to Dogs Trust. He can be sensitive with some handling, particularly around his collar and ears, so prefers a gentle approach. He will appreciate adopters who are happy to take things slowly with him. He is able to share his home with children over 12 years old but can be excitable and jumpy, so would need his family to be confident around dogs. Teddy is 'enthusiastic' with other dogs, which can lead to him getting frustrated, Dogs Trust said. He would benefit from access to quieter walking areas and adopters who are happy to do some reward based training with him. Photo: Dogs Trust

18. Belle - seven-year-old French Bulldog
Belle is a sweet pup with a sensitive side. Dogs Trust says she's a loveable lady and enjoys spending time with her humans but can be timid at first and prefers to build up a bond at her own pace. Once she knows you well, she’ll begin to show her affectionate side. She finds it challenging when people come too close when she’s eating and has a history of resource guarding behaviours. Because of this, she would best be suited to a family where the youngest members are in their later teens and understand that she’ll need her space occasionally. Belle is a sociable girl when it comes to mixing with other dogs and would enjoy walking buddies with other calm-natured canines. She must be the only pet at home. Photo: Dogs Trust

19. Basil - eight-year-old Patterdale Terrier cross
Dogs Trust says Basil is a one-of-a-kind pooch who has an abundance of character, and just as much love to give. His perfect match would be an adult-only family with minimal visitors and no visiting children, who share his passion for the outdoors, and who have the time, as well as the desire, to continue working with him on his training. This fun-loving eight-year-old is full of energy and will thrive with an active family who can fill his life with fun and adventure, while keeping him entertained with all his favourite activities. A secure garden of his own is essential, so that he can regularly burn off some steam. Another essential requirement is a multi-carer household, so that there’s always someone around to keep him company, as he finds alone-time challenging. Photo: Dogs Trust

20. Sooty - six-year-old Chihuahua cross
Sooty is a sweet chap who loves the company of people but likes to build up a bond at his own pace. A gentle approach is needed when first making friends, but you'll know when you've earned his trust, as Sooty will nudge into your hands when he wants a fuss! He must be the only dog at home and is also unable to live with any cats, house rabbits, or guinea pigs. Photo: Dogs Trust
