Littlehampton Shopmobility patron Georgina, Duchess of Norfolk, has reflected on the charity's work at its annual meeting.

She attended the AGM at Littlehampton United Church, where she talked about how essential the service is to the community.

Also present was Littlehampton deputy mayor Alan Butcher, who has now joined the board of trustees as chairman, along with treasurer, Richard Wilkins. There is also a new independent examiner, Roger Lovell.

"The afternoon concluded in the coffee lounge of the church with a refreshing cup of tea or coffee and cakes."

The team has been busy spreading the word about the charity's new premises in the Manor House car park, handing out leaflets at the Town Show and Family Fun Day on September 14.

Alan said: "Littlehampton Shopmobility put everything in to make the Town Show and Family Fun Day a lovely day for our members and everyone who visited our tombola stall, which was in the community marquee.

"We handed out our new leaflets to inform everyone where we have moved to and, of course, all about our services. The tombola raised just over £150 and, just as importantly, we all enjoyed the day and we thank everybody concerned."
