The coronavirus pandemic meant that it was wreath laying only at Eastbourne War Memorial, with the service taking place at the Town Hall and being streamed live over the internet.
Willingdon held its usual ceremony at the Ruthless Memorial on Butts Brow, with participants adhering to social distancing rules.
And many groups and homeowners paid their respects by organising window and roadside displays.
