Barry Southon is offering to turn people’s print pictures into JPEG files or Tiffs and save them onto a memory stick so customers can keep copies of their memories.

The service is free of charge but a suggested donation of £10 for 100 photos has been outlined with the aim to raise money for the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital charity.

Barry said, “Charities have taken a massive hit this year and the Friends is no exception. Having just embarked on a £430,000 target, all events have now been cancelled.

“So back to the drawing board, I put up a simple idea which has been taken up. We all have our treasured memories of people and events throughout our lives and boxes or albums of printed photos.

Photography is one of my hobbies and having been very fortunate in travelling the world prior to the digital age I collected prints too.”

Barry said people would need to provide their own memory sticks and that they would get their printed pictures back too.
