Film crews spotted in Worthing and Angmering

Filming for an upcoming television series has taken place in Worthing.

A film crew was spotted in the town centre on Friday, October 16, while a fleet of production vehicles was also seen in Angmering.

A sign outside I Love Candy, in Bath Place, revealed the shop was ‘closed for filming until 3pm’.

The Worthing Herald understands the film crew is in town for Netflix series Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging, based on the 1999 novel of the same name.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed the streaming giant had ordered a pilot for the series.

A casting call, seeking people with a ‘love for acting’ and a ‘great comedy ability’, was issued this summer. It said those taking part must be available for filming ‘around late September to late October 2026’.

The story has a strong connection to Sussex, with the original book set in Eastbourne.

A film adaptation, Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, hit cinemas in 2008, with scenes filmed in Eastbourne, Brighton and London.
