Full programme revealed as Bognorphenia returns

Scuppered for two years by Covid-19, Bognorphenia’s Big Weekend will return later this month – and the full programme has now been revealed.

Taking place in Hotham Park from September 10 to 11, the free event is all about giving talented young people the kind of performance arena they might not usually have access to.

The all-volunteer team use the Big Weekend both as a showcase for a year of hard work and to raise funds to provide young people with The Music Project.

The community interest company’s (CIC) main focus, The Music Project gives young people a chance to explore their talent and creativity in a friendly, positive and supportive environment, an environment which fosters their confidence and enables them to perform at events like The Big Weekend.

Saturday’s line-up includes:

Bognorphenia success story Holly Gregory, Suzanna Hill, Local hip-hop artist Adam Turner Sound House and Funkee Munkee – a young band from Northbrook Metropolitan College who have already released their first EP ‘Funkee Business.’

DJ Al will also be on hand to keep the crowds entertained throughout the day.

At 1.15pm, students from Bishop Luffa will perform ‘Higher and Higher’ – a song written especially for Bognorphenia.

Alongside a fully fledged scooter rally, day two will feature performances from: Jenna Hall, John Smith, Carbon Copy, RamJamJimJam, Honey Trap and Soul Intentions.

As well as all the music Bognorphenia’s Big Weekend will also feature music workshops, art workshops, pizza making, stalls, inflatables, as well as a variety of refreshments.
