Great Big Day of Creativity at The Angmering School

The Great Big Day of Creativity at The Angmering School saw staff and students stepping away from their computer screens for a digital detox. The event on Monday, March 8, focused on individual creativity and the whole school community rose to the challenge, with unique talents expressed through photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, performance, baking, writing and gardening.

The day was inspired by The Great Big Art Exhibition, a national campaign organised by Firstsite to get as many people as possible to make and share an artwork in a window, on a wall, or anywhere it could be seen, as part of a free and open national exhibition. Sir Antony Gormley, Grayson Perry and Anish Kapoor were just some of the famous artists backing the campaign. Staff at The Angmering School agreed exploring your own creativity was a way to reflect on experiences and said the day was a great success, as well as a fun and relaxing precursor to returning to the classroom.
