The upcoming half term runs from Monday, February 17 – Friday, February 21.
Here’s a list of things you can get involved in throughout the week to keep the kids entertained.
We’ve tried to include as many free, or at least affordable, options as possible.
Let us know if we’ve missed your favourite spot for the school holidays!

5. Sharnfold Farm
Your children can meet farm animals, climb and slide in the adventure playground, spark creativity at the sound station and explore giant vehicles in vehicle valley. Kids go free with a paying adult when you pre-book this half term. Photo: Contributed

6. Herstmonceux Observatory Science Centre
The science centre has a 'spectacular' daily programme of activities throughout the holiday, including telescope tours and science shows. During half term, you can catch the 'Down to Earth' science show. Plus, on Friday (February 21), there will be an extended session with an emphasis on astronomy. 7. Pevensey Castle
Climb the battlements, take in the view across the Sussex countryside and head down into the dungeon and basement rooms. Or, if you'd prefer a free trip, the grounds are free to walk around, so bring a picnic or enjoy a dog walk! Photo: Staff

8. Wild Imagination Week at Sheffield Park - February 15 - 23
This one's a little further out of the way in Uckfield, but is free with admission to the park. Each day visitors are invited to try a different nature-inspired craft activity from bug hotel building to natural jewellery making. Photo: S Robards
