Among the group is local musician and music promotor Mike Raxworthy who has organised the live music for the event and acted as compere for many years.

One of the new organisers Jane Kilby said: “The group have set themselves up as a Community Interest Company (CIC), which is a not-for-profit company.

"It is composed of people you may already know; Mike Raxworthy, Dale Seymour, Michael Wootton, Paul Mandry, Jackie Pratt, Yasmin Orsnby, Paul Joy and myself. So, for the first time ever, this event will be run independently.

“And, new for this year is that the festival will kick off on Friday 13th September with live music in the evening. You’ll also still have everyone’s favourite, Lianne Carroll on Sunday at the Jazz Breakfast, plus throughout the weekend there will be an eclectic line up of bands and food and wine demonstrations.
