Here are the Sussex beaches to visit during the hot weather this August – and the one to avoid
The weather is set to remain hot in Sussex for some time, according to the Met Office.

It is expected that temperatures will remain at about 19°C throughout the county this weekend with dry conditions for the next few days. Temperatures should rise to about 26°C by Friday, August 18.

5. Bognor Regis beach
Bognor Regis is a traditional seaside resort. The beach has a large, level promenade from Felpham to Aldwick, which offers a gentle walk. Photo: Steve Robards
6. Bosham Quay
This pretty beach and village is on one of the inlets of Chichester harbour. It is a great place to visit for free, but visitors are warned that the tide can come in rather fast. Photo: Steve Robards
7. Climping beach
This rural beach is about halfway between Littlehampton and Bognor and is backed by fields and low sand dunes. It was also used in some episodes of Doctor Who in the 1960s and 70s. Photo: Steve Robards
