“Life can be stressful and now, more than ever, we could all benefit from taking an hour for ourselves to relax and move gently and mindfully.

“We’d love to welcome all yogis to our friendly Heartspace community, so please book your place and join me online on Saturday, February 13.”

Money raised during the event will be donated to the foodbank which is facilitated by Horsham Matters and is part of The Trussell Trust’s network of 428 foodbanks, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in local communities across the UK.

Between April and September 2020, the Trussell Trust’s network provided 1.2million emergency food parcels to people in crisis – a record number that reflects the unprecedented challenges faced by many people since the coronavirus pandemic took grip.

Meg said: “There’s something very touching about unifying to raise funds for an important cause and this time we’ve chosen to support the incredibly important work of Horsham District Foodbank.

“As a result of the pandemic, so many more people are facing food poverty and Horsham District Foodbank is now relied upon by residents who are in desperate need of help.

“The foodbank offers an essential lifeline to people who might have been made redundant and are now struggling to find enough for their weekly groceries, or families where children would ordinarily receive free school meals but cannot access them at the moment.

“The average cost of an emergency food parcel of three day’s long-life food is £15 for one person and this is then supplemented by donated fresh food from local supermarkets. Every penny donated will support someone who needs it, in our local community.”
