Bexhill Horse Show returned to The Polegrove on Monday (May 25), raising money for good causes.

The event was well-attended, with visitors and residents flocking to enjoy the entertainment.

The Bexhill Lions Dog Show had to be cancelled due to the hot weather, organisers said.

Attractions included Flyball with Flossie’s Fliers and a mounted games demo by the South Eastern Pony Club, the Hobby Horse events, carriage driving led by Gary Docking from the Oaks Driving Club, falconry demo by Emma Godsell, vintage cars displayed by the Bexhill 100 Motoring Club, photo opportunities with Rosie, the little grey pony, a showjumping arena, and more than 40 stalls.

The show aims to support as many local charities as possible. The primary beneficiary is the KSS Air Ambulance.

Other charities benefiting included Westerleigh Judo, The League of Friends, Bexhill Men’s Shed, Fairlight Hall RDA, and RNLI Hastings.

The show made a comeback in 2024 after a five-year absence, raising almost £12,000 for the Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance, St Michael’s Hospice and Bexhill Men’s Shed.

The event launched in 1903.

It is run by Andy Lawes, chair and Emily Lawes, vice-chair and their committee.
