Sussex Police and local councils pleaded with residents to stay indoors this weekend despite the warm weather – but by these pictures, their message does not seem to have gotten across.
Earlier today, Brighton & Hove City Council slammed people for flocking to the beach and going against government guidance. It comes as another 708 people have died from coronavirus, taking the UK death toll to 4,313.
