In pictures: Hundreds turn out at dawn for Hastings May day tradition of dancing the sun up

Performing were five Morris sides including the newly formed Molly Winklers and guest dancers who ha flown over from Canada to take part.

There was also a Maypole dancing display and local giant Hannah put in an appearance.

The event was a curtain raiser for the Jack in the Green weekend, which sees events taking place over the next four days culminating in the big Jack in the Green procession on Monday.
