There was colourful, festive fun in Burgess Hill last weekend as It’s Christmas returned for a great family day out.

Britain’s Got Talent star Tom Ball opened the Church Walk event at 12pm on Saturday, November 19.

Throughout the day there were stalls, street entertainers, games, crafts, and Star Wars and Marvel characters thanks to The Imperial Outlanders. Musicians and performers from groups like Burnside Day Centre and the Othellos kept the crowds in high spirits too.

Same Sky hosted lantern workshops for kids and there was a magical grotto where they could meet Santa, run by Central Sussex Rotary, Burgess Hill and District Rotary and Burgess Hill District Lions. Winners of the Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition joined mayor Peter Chapman onstage to switch on the Christmas lights at 5pm.
