In pictures – sunny scenes on Hastings seafront as residents make most of heatwave

The heatwave has hit and Hastings has been basking in glorious summer sunshine this weekend (July 9-10).

But the seafront town seems to have been sheltered from excessive heat for today (Sunday, July 10) with the average temperature staying at 21°C, according to the Met Office.

Residents were out and about to experience the lovely seaside atmosphere.

The Met Office has made a Level 3/Amber Heat Health Alert for next week from 9am on Monday, July 11, until 9am on Friday, July 15.
