From Monday, March 22, Time Out in Adur will once again be able to support carers by offering days out in West Sussex, community-based activities and one-to-one support.
Catherine Goldsmith, day activities co-ordinator, said: “During this lockdown, and throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, carers of people with support needs or dementia have consistently put their loved ones before themselves, facing the challenges of disrupted support networks alongside the anxieties and loss of routine we have all faced.

To ensure safety, the service will be supervised by experienced staff, fully-trained in effective PPE practice, and capacity will be temporarily reduced, with additional risk assessments put in place.
Mark Greening, West Sussex County Council’s commissioning manager for carers, said: “I was delighted to hear that Independent Lives, in consultation with carers, have decided to resume their carer respite service.
