‘The Choir’, which is a brand new show coming out on Apple TV, has been filming around East Sussex and Eastbourne recently, October 14.
Film crews and stars including James Corden were spotted at the Sovereign Harbour, where they had created a fake fun fair. The show will star Corden’s Gavin and Stacey co-star Ruth Jones and is set to come out next year on Apple TV.
Corden and Jones star as estranged siblings Ben and Lisa. The narrative centres around an amateur community choir, exploring themes of love, music and human connection. The show draws real-life inspiration from Jones' sister and Corden's mother who both sing in local choirs. The eight-episode-series will also features Hannah Waddingham, James McAvoy and Jim Broadbent in guest roles
The show was also spotted filming in Lewes last week (October 6), where the crew had transformed the Oxfam Shop in Cliffe High Street into the Alderswyck Post Office.
The series is produced for Apple TV by Various Artists Limited and TidyTwo with Phil Clarke, Jack Bayles including Jones and Corden serving as executive producers.
