Littlehampton care home staff find fun way to stay cool in the extreme heat

A Littlehampton care home has found fun ways to keep everyone cool in the extreme heat.

Staff and residents at Oakland Grange care home, in St Floras Road, have been battling temperatures up to the mid-30s.

Kim Maw, registered manager, said: “Staff created a simple, fun way to beat the heat using tarpaulin, water and soft sponges. The indoor activity helped residents stay cool while enjoying sensory play and social interaction — proving that small ideas can make a big difference to wellbeing.”
