His outdoor performances, in car parks and on lawns, have delighted residents who have listened and watched from windows and balconies.

“Although not so warm on the afternoon Ritchie sang, with blankets wrapped around our residents everyone enjoyed the event.”

Ritchie said: “I have loved doing it. I was left with nothing to do when all this happened and to be able to go out and do something positive in these times has been a lifeline for me.

“It has been more special to perform for residents at care homes as you can see it really lifts the mood. It has been good for staff too who have really enjoyed it.”
