The Mayor of Eastbourne is hosting a silent vigil just before Christmas calling for peace in Israel, Palestine, Ukraine, and across the world.

Councillor Candy Vaughan has organised the event on Saturday, December 23, in the Court Room at Eastbourne Town Hall, Grove Road.

Councillor Vaughan said: “This is an opportunity for the community to come together and mourn all those lives lost in Israel, Gaza, Ukraine, and across the world, as well as providing support for those around us who have been affected by war and violence.
