A National Lottery prize worth £1,000,000 is still waiting to be claimed after a winning EuroMillions ticket was bought in the Mid Sussex District.

The unclaimed prize comes from the EuroMillions draw on 2 January 2026, which created 10 UK millionaires through the Millionaire Maker game. One of those winners has yet to come forward, with National Lottery officials urging players in Mid Sussex to check their tickets. The winning Millionaire Maker code was MLMF46017, and the ticket holder has until 1 July 2026 to claim the prize.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: “Someone out there has had an incredible start to 2026 and doesn’t even know it – being the winner of a life-changing £1,000,000.

"We are on a mission to unite our lucky winner with their million-pound prize and are calling on people to check their pockets, bags coats – think back to that draw.

"Perhaps you got a EuroMillions ticket on the way to New Year’s celebrations – search through handbags, purses, trouser pockets any purses or jackets that only come out for big celebrations?

"Someone who bought a ticket in the Mid Sussex District is now a millionaire and we are desperate to unite this lucky ticket-holder with their winnings!”

Players normally have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim a National Lottery prize.

Anyone who believes they may have a valid claim but no longer has their ticket can still contact Allwyn in writing within 30 days of the draw.

If the prize is not claimed before the deadline, the money, along with any interest generated, will go towards National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
