New Greggs drive-thru creates 16 local jobs in Eastbourne
A new Greggs store has created 16 new jobs in Eastbourne.
The new store opened in Lottbridge Drove on Friday, December 19, offering indoor and outdoor seating for customers, as well as a drive-thru area.
Gillian Long, retail operations director for Greggs, said: “Our new drive-thru in Eastbourne has brought 16 new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites.”
The drive-thru will stock fan favourites, such as the on-the-go-retailer’s popular Sausage Roll, Steak Bake and vegan alternatives, according to Greggs.
Local customers can also get a free drink when they purchase one of the brand’s Christmas bakes.
A Greggs spokesperson added: “Greggs App customers who purchase a Festive Bake, Vegan Lattice (Festive Edition) or Sweet Mince Pie from now until Monday, December 29 will receive a free 500ml bottle of Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero or Coke Zero Cherry.
"The free drink will be automatically applied to their Greggs account and customers will have 31 days to redeem their free fizzy goodness to keep them fuelled for Christmas.”
Proposals for the new store, alongside a Starbucks, were approved by Eastbourne Borough Council in June 2023.
The drive-thru will be open from 7am – 7pm daily.
