Peal of bells returns to Lewes church
The refurbished peal of six bells were reinstated at Rodmell Church on Monday when they were blessed and ‘christened’ by the Bishop of Lewes.
About 60 people, socially distanced, attended the service in the Lewes churchyard.
Churchwardens Jenny Brown and Anne Roberts thank all concerned in making it such a memorable occasion.
It is hoped that there will be a celebratory service before to long when all the bells will be rung.
