Pevensey Community Fire Station recognised for 'significant' contribution to community
Pevensey Community Fire Station was recognised for its contribution to the on-call section.
A fire station spokesperson said: “Pevensey Community Fire Station are very proud to announce we recently won an award for making a significant contribution to the On-Call section and the community we serve.
“This highlights the hard work the Watch Manager, 3 Crew Managers and the 9 Firefighters put in to their roles at Pevensey with the support of the Station Manager.
“Its a huge commitment we all give, not only with keeping the fire truck available for as many hours as possible by changing plans with our families and our normal jobs but with all the training, certification, admin and general station duties that go along with this.
“To be recognised with this award from East Sussex Fire and Rescue is an achievement we are all immensely proud of.
“For more information on how the fire service can help with free fire safety advice at home, attend local events and coffee mornings as well as lots of other useful information please get in touch through our website at www.esfrs.org
“Oh, and we are generally on station on Monday evenings at 7pm for any cake deliveries.”
