Hercule’s Pet Portraits raise £10,000s for West Sussex charity Turning Tides - in pictures

Eccentric artist Hercule van Wolfswinkle, the alter ego of Worthing-based Phil Heckels, has raised almost £60,000 for charity off the back of his unique pet portraits.

While juggling a job at an estate agency, Phil has also been given a book deal by Harper Collins, with his debut collection out on May 27.

Here are some of the pictures that have proven so popular.
