Rustington pupils celebrate St George’s Day and wear their Scouts and Girlguiding uniforms with pride

Pupils at Rustington Community Primary School who are part of the Scouting movement, Girlguiding and other uniformed groups were allowed to wear their uniforms to school to celebrate St George’s Day today.

As well as being the patron saint of England, St George is the patron saint of Scouting and Girlguiding, too. The school said the St George legend set a good example of faith, courage and perseverance for future generations and with this in mind, the children and staff involved in uniformed organisations, such as Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Cadets, wore their uniforms to school with pride on April 23.
