After being postponed due to Storm Dennis the Lynchmere Society’s annual log day will take place this weekend.

Society chairman Judy Rous said: “The winter working party has done a wonderful job of felling the birch to allow regeneration of heathland, and there is plenty of firewood for all.
“Members are offered a free boot-load, and others are invited to join the society or give a donation in lieu.”
The log day will take place on Lynchmere Common from 10am to 1pm on Sunday (March 1).
