We know some family days out can be very expensive, so we’ve put together this list of ten free days out to enjoy across Sussex with your kids to help you keep your summer spending in check.

5. Love Parks Week
A series of free fun events are to be held in and around Horsham to mark national ‘Love Parks Week.’ A wide range of activities are being organised by Horsham District Council – from July 29 to August 2 – designed to appeal to all ages, abilities and interests. Some of the sessions have limited spaces and require booking in advance and some are open sessions ensuring we have a great mix of activities to be enjoyed. 6. Family Fun Day at K2 leisure centre
There will be a free Family Fun Day at K2 leisure centre in Crawley on Sunday, July 28. Celebrating a Summer of Sport, there is going to be something for Everyone! People can get involved in activity tasters from various local providers, prize draws, various sports activities, adult activities and much more! 7. Illuminate Bognor
Illuminate Bognor is a free event as part of a weekend of fun on Bognor Regis seafront. There will be a seafront funfair on August 24 and 25, organised by Bognor Regis Seafront Lights, with a night-time illuminated walking procession on Sunday 25. 8. Free pony petting
There will be a free pony petting morning at Lavant Equestrian, Two Barns Lane, East Lavant, Chichester, PO18 9AH on August 26, 2024.
