Founded more than 35 years ago, the UK U3a movement aims to encourage people to come together and continue their enjoyment of learning in subjects of interest to them after they retire.

The movement now includes more than 400,000 members.

Ms Caulfield said: “U3a is a great way to meet new people and learn new skills and with a range of sessions from book clubs to art classes there is something for everyone”.
