Update on 8 dogs looking for new homes in Sussex

Every week, we bring you our Dog of the Week from Dogs Trust Shoreham but for Valentine’s Day, the charity is asking you if you have it in your hearts to find love for some very special dogs. Last month, we featured eight dogs being cared for by Dogs Trust and one of those, four-year-old collie cross Zeke, has since been adopted – but the other seven are still looking for a permanent home with understanding owners.

Dogs Trust Shoreham, the charity’s rehoming centre for all of Sussex, is doing everything it can to find its dogs their forever homes and staff are currently experiencing an unprecedented amount of interest, with some dogs getting several hundred applications. But some of the dogs need a really special person to look after them and some of these guys have been at the centre for months.

The rehoming centre is not open for public browsing but the charity is still rehoming and taking in dogs, with new processes in place to keep staff, visitors and adopters safe. For dogs the staff know will thrive straightaway in their new home, they are matching them virtually and delivering them contact-free. Visit www.dogstrust.org.uk for more information.
