Bonfire Societies from across the county converged on the village to take part in the torch-lit procession led by Northiam in their distinctive highwayman costumes. Twenty societies and four drumming groups took part.
Karen Ayling, from Northiam Bonfire Society, said: “With an enthusiasm enhanced by many months of lockdown, it was noisy, utterly bonkers and great fun.”
