Volunteers clear heather beds at Storrington beauty spot

Brambles and bracken were cleared from heather beds at a Storrington beauty spot by volunteers from Sandgate Conservation Society in their third work party since lockdown.

Despite dry conditions, heather at Sullington Warren - owned by the National Trust - is starting to make a comeback, with new plants beginning to fill spaces where heather-beetle destroyed large areas of growth.
