Walk through the Mid Sussex countryside to help raise money for people affected by cancer

As the days lengthen, families lucky enough to live in beautiful Mid Sussex are invited to get out and about in the countryside.

Mid Sussex District Council is hoping to inspire local people to take part in a charity walk which aims to raise money for people affected by cancer.

Called March for Marsden, it takes place on Sunday, March 29 with a sign-in time of 9am.

MSDC chair, councillor Colin Trumble will be taking part.

The March for Marsden takes a circular route through the Mid Sussex countryside.

There's a three kilometre walk through woodland near Hurstpierpoint or a more demanding nine kilometre walk which takes in Wolstonbury Hill.

It's a walk of great interest too with spectacular views from Wolstonbury and a chance to enjoy the rare chalk grassland which ensures the area retains its site of special scientific interest designation.

The walks are both family friendly and dogs (on leads) are welcome.
