West Sussex village school celebrates success of Christmas craft market

The event on Saturday, November 15, was organised by the PTA at Georgian Gardens Community Primary School in Rustington.

It was a festive morning for families, with a wide selection of local makers and artisan stalls, children’s Christmas craft activities, a magical Santa’s Grotto and performances from the school choir.

Kelly Anne Jordan said: "We’re delighted to say the event was a great success. Thanks to the wonderful support from our community, stallholders, visitors and volunteers, we raised just over £1,000 toward our fundraising goal to replace the school’s outdated laptops. This brings our total, including funds raised from other recent events such as our fireworks display, to just under £10,000.

"The school choir performed beautifully, the children’s Christmas crafts were incredibly popular and Santa’s Grotto was busy right up until closing time. The atmosphere was warm, festive and full of community spirit.

"We are truly grateful for all the support we received – both in attending and in helping us spread the word. Events like this wouldn’t be possible without it."
