17. Eastbourne Beer Festival - October 3 to 5
Eastbourne Beer Festival brings more than 120 cask ales, ciders, perries, and a variety of international bottled beers and wines, specially selected by the local CAMRA team. The event returns for 2024 at the Winter Garden. Photo: Vitus Sukoco
18. Eastbourne Bonfire - October 5
Eastbourne Bonfire Society will stage a colourful procession along the seafront with a giant bonfire and firework display as the finale. Photo: Jon Rigby
19. Beachy Head Marathon - October 26
The Beachy Head Marathon is one of the biggest off-road marathons in the UK. It is popular for its scenic and challenging route through the South Downs National Park countryside. Brand new for 2024 is the Ultramarathon which has a total distance of about 52.6 kilometres. A half marathon, now in its fourth year, will take place on the following day (October 27). 20. Remembrance Sunday Service - November 10
Eastbourne's usual remembrance service will take place next year, with multiple parades and a two-minute silence at 11am. Photo: Jon Rigby
