George Brandford, 27, is the owner of Intent91, in Ashacre Lane, and believes that educating young children on fitness at a young age is incredibly beneficial.

He said: “I think this is a really important topic to learn especially at a young age, so for us, we are just really keen to get young children talking positively about physical activity, nutrition, mental health and sleep. We are really trying to promote those four key pillars.

“We really want to help the kids we visit to be the best version of themselves, that’s our ultimate goal, in whatever kind of field that is.”

Throughout the talks at schools in Worthing and surrounding areas, George said he makes sure to involve the schoolchildren as much as possible by putting questions to them to find out about their favourite form of exercise, and also by getting them up on their feet and moving.

George added: “We like to get the kids up and feeling more energised as a result of them moving their bodies, so we do some exercises with them before class to make them feel more focused and ready for the day.”

George said that for him and other staff members at Intent91, understanding and learning about health and wellbeing is important and they want to give the children the opportunity to learn positively about this topic from trained professionals instead of on social media.

George said: “Education is one of the fundamental things you need when it comes to nutrition, mental health, fitness and sleep. We want to raise their awareness of these four things and hopefully allowing the kids to go home and actually get excited about doing exercise or taking part in P.E classes, or extra sport classes outside of school.

“We want to educate the children on the benefits of fitness and nutrition and all the good things that come with it.”
